• Full professor of Moral Philosophy and Bioethics at the University of Padua (UNIPD)
• Chairman of the Degree of Philosophy at the UNIPD from 2008 to 2016
• Coordinator of the Section “Philosophy” within the FISPPA Department of the UNIPD (from 2017 to present)
• Coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee (CERD), FISPPA Department (from 2020 to present)
• Coordinator of the annual seminar on Moral Philosophy within the Ph.D. Program in Philosophy at the UNIPD
• Guest lecturer for many postgraduate courses at national and international universities
• He studied Philosophy and Ethics in Germany at the University of Wuppertal (1986-87) and the University of Munich (in 1993 and 1997, 11 months total), thanks to von Humboldt Stiftung
B) MEMBERSHIPS
• Member of the Italian National Bioethics Committee (CNB) from 2006 to present. In this respect,
he considerably contributed to the draft of several CNB documents
• Member of the CIGA Scientific Board (Centre on Environmental, Ethical, Legal and Social Decisions on
